my car was broken into last week and the thieves took off with my battery. travis was kind enough to escort me to east oakland to get a new one and even kinder to take turns carrying the very very heavy battery back to downtown oakland with me, all on public transportation. travis makes all of my life problems seem kinda fun.

today i played on a rope swing with my two best friends at the very top of a hill overlooking the bay while monarch butterflies flew all around us. later we enjoyed this vegan/gluten free carrot cake that travis and i made with juiced carrots. a little reward for ourselves after finishing a five day juice fast.
